Sonia Sarabia
For several years, Sonia Sarabia was unable to walk. Her mobility challenges were related to myelopathy, a condition that affects the spinal cord, and became more severe after a fall in 2022. In 2024, Sonia came to Ballard Rehabilitation Hospital’s outpatient center to improve her mobility and strength as she prepared for surgery to address contractures in her feet. As she consistently attended therapy, Sonia began making steady gains.
