What to Expect

A stay at Ballard Rehabilitation Hospital begins with an evaluation by our team members and a physician who specializes in physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R). The information gathered during this evaluation is used to develop the patient’s treatment plan and set goals for the hospital stay. We empower each individual and their family members to get involved in the goal-setting process. Active participation is crucial to recovery, so we encourage our patients to work hard to achieve their rehab goals.

Our patients can typically expect to participate in three hours of therapy services per day, at least five days per week. Depending on the patient’s needs, services may include physical, occupational, and speech-language therapy. We provide patients with an updated therapy schedule each day.

Specialized rehabilitation nurses provide medical care for our patients 24 hours a day. They’ll work with each patient to ensure their medical and care needs are met throughout their stay.

If you have any questions or concerns about what to expect at Ballard Rehabilitation Hospital, please contact us and let us know how we can help.
