Returning to work, life in the community, or leisure activities after an orthopedic injury or illness can be intimidating. Ballard Rehabilitation Hospital is here to help get you back to your best.
At Ballard Rehabilitation Hospital, our advanced orthopedic rehabilitation program puts each patient at the center of a multi-disciplinary team of rehab experts. Our team will develop an individualized treatment plan for each patient based on their specific needs and recovery goals.
Ballard Rehabilitation Hospital’s orthopedic rehabilitation program features:
Recovery in a safe healing environment.
We offer 24-hour nursing and daily physician management. Board-certified physical medicine and rehabilitation specialists, also known as physiatrists, lead our hospital’s care team. Our team of skilled professionals can provide medical supervision, medication management, pain management, and post-operative wound care treatments.
Personalized, comprehensive rehabilitation services.
Our rehab experts are trained in treating a variety of orthopedic conditions. They can assist patients with managing their pain and improving overall function, posture, body mechanics, and independence. Our physical therapists work with patients on issues with mobility, strength, endurance, and flexibility. We also have a team of occupational therapists ready to assist patients with practicing self-care activities and the use of assistive devices. Orthotics and brace-fitting services are also available when needed.
Ballard Rehabilitation Hospital offers a spacious therapy gym, state-of-the-art equipment, and functional living areas. Functional living areas are spaces specially designed to simulate a home environment where patients can safely practice newly learned therapy techniques to prepare for returning home.
Patient and family support.
We offer education opportunities for both patients and their family members. Our social work and case management employees work hard to ensure each patient has adequate resources, equipment, training, and support in place before they leave Ballard Rehabilitation Hospital.
